Privacy Policy

1. Overview

YapoeY Finance ("we") is a personal finance tracking tool. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and the third parties we rely on. By using the Service, you consent to this policy.

2. Data we collect

When you create an account, we store: your email address, a display name, an encrypted password (managed by our authentication provider), and any financial data you choose to enter or import (transactions, categories, payment methods, loans, mortgages, receipts, etc.).

We do not collect more than what you give us. We do not buy data from third parties. We do not run advertising trackers.

3. How we use your data

We use your data only to operate the Service for you: storing it, displaying it back to you, generating reports, and running optional AI categorization on merchant names you import. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or marketers.

4. Third-party services

To run the Service, we use the following providers. Your data may pass through these systems and is subject to their respective privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• AWS Amplify Hosting — application hosting (United States)
• AWS S3 — file/image storage (receipts, attachments)
• Google Gemini — AI categorization of merchant names and receipt OCR (text and images you choose to send are processed by Google)
• ExchangeRate-API — daily currency exchange rates

When you upload a receipt image, that image is sent to Google Gemini for OCR. When you import a statement, the merchant names may be sent to Gemini for categorization. Do not upload receipts containing information you would not want a third party to see.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and local browser storage to keep you logged in and to remember your interface preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Your control over your data

You can edit or delete any data you have entered, at any time, from inside the Service. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below and we will erase your account and all associated records.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and per-user data isolation. However, no system is perfectly secure. You use the Service at your own risk. We are not liable for any data breach, unauthorized access, data loss, or any consequence thereof.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 14 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
